Certified Sex Therapists – Minneapolis-Saint Paul
Sex therapy at Convex Therapy supports authentic, empowered sexual relationships by addressing desire, intimacy, identity, and communication through inclusive, evidence-based care.
Understanding and Improving Your Sexuality
Sex therapy supports open, respectful conversations about desire, boundaries, needs, and expectations. Clients learn to communicate more clearly and confidently, creating space for mutual understanding and consent.
Many people carry shame, fear, or confusion related to sexuality. Sex therapy offers a nonjudgmental, affirming space to explore sexual concerns, identity, and expression, helping individuals and partners build confidence and self-trust.
For those whose sexual experiences are shaped by past trauma, therapy supports gentle, trauma-informed healing. This work helps reduce anxiety, disconnection, and fear while restoring a sense of safety, choice, and agency.
Convex Therapy proudly works with LGBTQ+ individuals, consensual non-monogamous, and polyamorous relationships, and members of the kink and BDSM community. Sex therapy is grounded in affirming care that honors diverse identities, values, and consensual sexual practices without pathologizing or judgment.
Sex therapy can be especially supportive for neurodiverse adults, including individuals with autism or ADHD. Therapy addresses sensory needs, communication differences, emotional regulation, and relationship dynamics in ways that respect neurodivergent experiences and strengths.
Through evidence-based approaches, sex therapy helps individuals and partners align sexual expression with their values, improve intimacy, and create relationships that feel authentic, connected, and sustainable.
